Fritz Fisher

Fritz L. Fisher practices in the areas of commercial real estate, corporate and financing transactions, and general business matters. He represents a variety of developers, real estate investors, banks and telecommunications companies, and has worked on development projects and real estate transactions throughout the country.
Prior to Fisher & Fisher, for 16 years he was a founding and managing shareholder of Fisher, Sweetbaum, Levin & Sands, P.C. Earlier in his career, he was in-house counsel to BetaWest Properties, Inc., where he worked on development projects, property dispositions and leasing transactions in multiple states. Prior to that, he practiced law with Holme Roberts & Owen in Denver, where he worked in that firm's real estate and tax groups, and with Baker & McKenzie in London, England, where his practice focused on multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions.
Fritz has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers of America each year since 2013 in the field of Real Estate Law.
He was recognized as one of the "Forty Under Forty" Business Leaders by the Denver Business Journal in 1998. He was also listed in Colorado "Super Lawyers" by Law and Politics in 2006, the first year that the designation was given in Colorado, and has been included on that list every year since then; this designation is given to the top 5% of attorneys in Colorado, based on peer recognition and professional achievement. He has been given an "A-V" preeminent 5.0 out of 5 rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available.
Fritz is the founder of The Shannon Foundation, an organization that he has run since 1994, and he sat on the Board of Directors of The Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics from 1998 through 2004; both are charitable organizations that help to pay for medical care for children in need. He also served for six years on the Board of Trustees of Colorado Academy.
Fritz received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1981 and his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1984 (cum laude).
Sheila M. Fisher

Sheila M. Fisher is a partner at the firm and practices in the areas of commercial real estate, corporate and financing transactions, and general business matters.
Prior to joining Fisher & Fisher, Sheila was a stay-at-home mom, raising three daughters. Earlier in her career, Sheila worked for Mayer, Brown & Platt in London, England, where her practice focused on international banking and asset-swaps. Prior to that, she practiced law with Mayer, Brown & Platt in Denver, where she primarily represented lenders in banking and corporate transactions, and she practiced with Chapman and Cutler in Chicago, Illinois, where she was a part of that firm’s municipal bond group.
Sheila received her B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame (1981) (summa cum laude), with a major in finance. She received her J.D. from the University of Illinois (1984)
(cum laude).
Collin S. Watkins

Collin is a partner at Fisher & Fisher whose dedication to serving clients sets him apart, catering to a spectrum of businesses ranging from large-scale development companies to small family-owned businesses. Collin’s approach blends his expert legal acumen with an understanding of the unique needs of each client, ensuring tailored solutions that align with their individual objectives.
Since joining the firm as an associate in 2017, Collin has quickly gained broad expertise in the commercial real estate field. He brings his legal acumen into intricate negotiations, drafting, and review of lease agreements for many types of commercial properties. Additionally, Collin's adeptness in acquisitions and sales spans from due diligence to transactional closures, facilitating the seamless transfer and transaction of property. Moreover, his grasp of financing and ownership formation/restructuring is instrumental in setting up his clients’ businesses for optimal success.
Collin received his undergraduate degree in 2012 from the University of Kentucky, in his home state. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2015.
Beyond his legal endeavors, Collin finds joy in spending quality time with his wife Claire, sons Wyatt and Finn, and his Frenchie named Bernie. He also loves indulging his passions for golfing and tackling the slopes on his snowboard. His commitment to excellence in both his professional and personal spheres underscores his balanced and dedicated approach to life.
Grant N. Simon

Grant N. Simon represents clients in a wide variety of real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, and leasing.
Prior to joining Fisher & Fisher in 2021, Grant was an attorney with Icenogle Seaver Pogue in Denver, where he provided legal services for special districts and public authorities across Colorado. In that role, he drafted, reviewed, and amended contracts and other governing documents, and advised on the formation, organization and operation of districts. Grant began his legal career with the Denver City Attorney’s Office as a Fellow in the DEN Legal section, drafting and reviewing contracts and advising on state and federal regulatory compliance for Denver International Airport.
Grant was raised in Denver and received both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Colorado. Outside of the office, he enjoys cheering on Denver’s sports teams, biking, and spending time in the mountains.
James F. Blaha

Blaha is Special Counsel with Fisher & Fisher and works in the area of commercial real estate, specializing in lease transactions. Jim graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1980 (cum laude) with an accounting degree. He passed the CPA exam in 1980 and joined KPMG as an auditor and tax consultant. Deciding to expand his knowledge base, he attended law school at the University of Illinois and graduated in 1984. He joined the Baker & McKenzie law firm in Chicago, working in the Corporate, Securities and Real Estate Department until 1991, where he was active in corporate mergers and acquisitions, real estate acquisitions and real estate development. Married with a growing family, Jim eventually decided to pursue a more flexible career, and started his own business as a real estate developer and broker. During this time, Jim and his wife raised five beautiful children and Jim was active in the community, including Little League baseball, soccer and the local Chamber of Commerce. With the children leaving the nest, Jim has returned to law and joined Fisher & Fisher as Special Counsel. Jim remains active in the community as the Little League “rules guy.” He and his wife of 35 years also enjoy the numerous neighborhood festivals in downtown Chicago.
